The Hegins Valley Arts & Crafts Faire was started by Sandy Romberger in August of 1989. She was inspired by the Lititz Craft Faire and after running into Cindy Herring at the event, the idea was born. Sandy knew the Hegins Park would be the perfect venue. The first faire was held in September 1990 with 90 craft vendors and we donated to three charities. In our second year, we increased our crafters to 190. By 1992, we had 206 crafters and added two more charities. In 2026 we added a new row of 50 spaces. This makes our total of 271 potential vendors!
We have gone from donating to three organizations to 13 at present. This is the driving force behind the Faire Committee. We are an organization completely ran by volunteers. Nothing brings the committee more pride and satisfaction than seeing a successful and happy Faire every year.
